Our electricity was hooked up late January, I have yet to get a bill. Are they usually this delayed in getting out their bills?

I have heard of it before. If you didn't get into the system until after the meters were read for Feb, which is very likely, then you may not have a meter reading until sometime in March, it takes about 3 weeks for the bill to be generated, and the mail is slow. So, soon come! My meter is read around the last day of each month. Ask your neighbors when theirs is read, and you should be able to figure it out according to when they received their bill.

A couple of months ago, people were getting late notices BEFORE they ever received a bill. So, you might want to call WAPA.

if you have your new account number, just log onto WAPA website, and sign up for a password, and then you will have great access to your account info. I don't even worry about paper bills any more. it is a good setup.

No such thing as average. We are 2 people living in a 2 BR 2 BA w/o A/C or a washer/dryer and we run at $150 or so a month. Add another person, A/C, washer/dryer, etc and you can EASILY be looking at $500 or more.

Depends on your appliances and how you heat water. An electric dryer is a big user. We have an electric dryer, washer, stove, oven, microwave, split AC (run 20 days a year max) , and a tankless water heater. We use on average 500Kwh monthly for two people.

Tip: If you have a regular water heater.....install a switch so you can turn it on as needed OR turn off the breaker for it when not needed!

OUCH!, so my a/c, washer, dryer, dishwasher, electric hot water heater and all....would basically mean i'd need a small loan.

Just great!!
