We sold our house on St. Croix in July and still have not received our deposit from WAPA for the electric service. I agree that it is not much so it is more of a frustrated expectation. I have called two times and was told that the check would be mailed. Now we received a 1099 for Interest Income,(which was "0". I have called WAPA customer service today but no one answers (pressing "5"). Any suggestions (other than flying down and making a personal visit)?

Getting a hold of WAPA before the hurricanes was hard enough. I'd say keep trying on the phone now and then. I called a few weeks back and actually got through to a breathing person without much wait on the first try. Prior experiences were much worse.

Hope the IRB /tax doesn't owe you. They actually sent a 1099 for the interest they had to pay on the recent check we got back and now want us to pay them again. They tried that donkey years ago and it was a big joke. Kicker is it is less than the required amount to have to claim it on your taxes.
