Wow!!!

According to the Daily News, WAPA sent out emergency crews to set up two sets of portable lights at Lionel Roberts Staduim on Friday for the Charlotie Amalie High school vs Inanna Eudora Kean high school football game, because only three of the eight set of lights for the overhead staduim game came on.

WAPA did this during halftime, despite the teams agreeing to play with the limited lighting.

Government workers forced to take 8% pay cut, groos receipt tax up, property tax up, but we still have the money to PAY 2 VI Water And Power Authority crews and trucks to set up 1000 watt lights being powered by a diesel generator.

What happened to the government beat of the drum, everyone must sacrifice. The game should have been rescheduled, not use taxpayers money to pay overtime for crews to go out and set up emergency lights at a high school football game, and WAPA director Hugo Hodge Jr. was aware of this.

And we wonder why we pay .48 KW for electricity.
