I am still confused why i hear allot of power outages in St Croix and i don't hear the same in STT i wish to know to make a comparison between islands regarding WAPA reliability.

How Many Outages Per week, Per day or Per Month occur in your location?

( Please include Island and Location)

In my case in Average 15 miunutes per week??

Although this week none so far.

LOL....but the outages aren't island wide. Or rather its very rare to have an island wide outage. How are you going to compare that? Especially when you don't know how many people on this board live in each grid and if we have people from every grid. You'd be better off trying to get the info from wapa...

That is the whole point i want to know which areas either in Stt o STX get those frequent power outages!!!! My theory is that STT get's less outages than STX because of the Hotels shops and Tourist i feel those power outages are selective due that Wapa wants to save Diesel because of its current problems . Low voltage does not constitute a power outage!!! an as a Engineer people tend to confused power surges with power outages. For example people point out at there clocks loosing time and their A/C turning off those things could occur with a power surge which could be low or hign in our case in the Vi is low voltage. So if you can point out your experiences i think it will be beneficial to this board to know which areas and Feeders are problematic or are being selected for power outages by Wapa.

out east STX & we experience power "disturbances" daily (seems daily)....any where from 5 -10 mins to 1 to 3 hrs.
I look at it as getting back to my primal instincts 😉

If you are looking for a conspiracy, I think you're on the wrong track. Where any government or utility is concerned, I would never blame cleverness when I could better blame stupidty.

If they were that smart, they'd be running WAPA correctly.

Hey Roki,
I live in STX and as for the LaGrande Princesse area, we have recorded at least one outage per day in a row for the last six days, the latest being Sat. morning between (roughly...I could check my cell for when I first called the WAPA outage number)6am to 7:30-ish. I think we may have had power all24hrs for a day, six days ago, but before that it went off every day or every other day for the last month. I keep meaning to keep a log but when I'm at work (coming home to those blinking clock lights) I don't know when it's gone off or for how long. I just know that I was ready to get in my car and pay the gas-piper 'cause it was so nasty-hot! All I have are fans, so the 'skitos were making me extra "buggy"!
