Hi everyone. I have found a gorgeous house out in Tabor/Harmony and can't wait to move in. However, I have a couple of questions. What do I need to bring with me and how long will it take when I go apply for power? Does anyone have the DISH network and if so..... where did they purchase it from?

Thanks,
Lance

Lance,
Power should be on the next day or in two days maximum out there. I have Choice Communication satellite and it works great. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Totally agree with Onika about Satellite Entertainment. Used to have Choice and had innumerable problems, finally went over to Cal's company for the service and have never regretted it. The quality is awesome, zero problems and Cal and his people are delightful to deal with. One difference here as opposed to the mainland is that you have to buy your satellite dish so the initial cost is high. However, I do know of several people in neighborhoods who've got together and shared the cost, so that's an option once you get settled in. Good luck!

Yes, as Anna stated, no free promotional dish here!
Also, if you get anything less than the 6' dish in combo with the 4' dish, you will not get any of the channels on the 119 satellite (or is it the 110?). So, no National Geographic Channel or WorldlinkTV (my personal faves that I have lost) unless you are willing to plunk down $1000 in addition to the cost for the 4' dish. Apparently, we in the VI are not positioned for receipt of both satellites with one dish.
But call Cal, he can give you the whole scoop.
