I know this may have been talked about alittle in a few places but I need to know what are good valid ways of doing this somewhat conveniently.

Flights to St Croix from Detroit are about $600
Flights to St Thomas from Detroit are $300

Any insight?? I have also heard different times of year may add issues?

Thanks
Christian

You can fly Detroit to STT and the seaplane between STT and STX and perhaps save $100 off the cost of flying STX to Detroit.

Great link that is the stuff I am looking for. That would even allow me to spend a few days on each island with out too much hassle.

If you don't get sea sick then there's also the ferry...I believe it's $45 or $50 one-way???

Cape Air is probably easier than the seaplane as they leave from the airport. If you take the seaplane then you will have to take a cab to the harbor. Cost will run $80 - $125 each way. The seaplane charges about the same.

Ferry only runs three or four days a week Thurs - Sunday and it can be rough. Many people get seasick.

We just took Cape Air the other day from STX to STT. One way was 66. Sea Plane is $80. Taxi to ferry from airport for two people $10 with luggage.

Like any airline it all depends when you buy and how lucky you get when you buy, both airlines have specials at the $66 or $67 rate. But getting them usually means booking ahead or as I mentioned before, getting lucky. I prefer the seaplane but I live much closer to it and its easy to get a friend to drop and pick up, since its in town and not out of the way too much.

Not really. There are people with business interests on both islands, so they go back and forth a lot, but not a daily commute. Too far and too expensive.
