we need some help

hello,

five friends from the new jersey shore are looking to relocate for the winter to saint thomas, saint john, saint anywhere. we are all trained bartenders and waitresses as well as college graduates. any ideas on where we should start looking for employment and housing??

please respond!

I would suggest you read through the following two sections of the site:

Mid-November is the time that season starts up and season runs until May so its a good time to come and find work in restaurants like you mentioned. That said it isn't likely you will land a job waitressing without already being on island. Restaurant owners and managers wait to see you live and in person looking for work. So basically you have to come down and then find a job bartending/waitressing. Likewise apartments are tough to find without being on island but there is more hope in that area for finding something without being on island if you are willing to rent something site unseen or based on pictures or use a realtor who can do the seeing for you.
