We live at Coakley Bay Condos.....,,so it doesn't go out...... at least never for more than 30 seconds.

I can tell you, after living both here and STT off and on since the 60's --- that full backup kicking in is the BEST feeling ! Nothing like it.
Some people can hear the system....but we don't so it is just magic.

There are larger battery operated fans available than the small hand held ones.
I bought a couple of 02 Cool portable fans that are battery operated. They are small box fans with a 10 inch blade that push air quite nicely.

Heres an interesting link I just found: http://www.batterysavers.com

Wow, great place! Looks like they only ship to the lower 48? That seems sad. They don't mention anything at all about shipping to the places who need that stuff the most: AK, HI, PR, USVI.

I know I oredered mine on line when I first saw them a couple yrs. ago and they shipped to me. Then found at K-Mart 2 yrs. later.
I think I got them from the 02 Cool site, itself but can't recall specifically.

Ordered two for up coming season on Amazon. They also have Prime shipping which is free (for me) as I pay the yearly fee (worth it) I paid $24 each.

Side note.... who has the cheapest batteries on STT?

"Side note.... who has the cheapest batteries on STT?"

You have to check around for sales to get the best buy.
Sometimes Office Max has them on sale. Radio Shack as well.
Normallly I just buy from PriceSmart or Cost U More
