When I drove past this morning at about 8:15, there were 3 police vehicles and an ambulance. As I was headed West, 3 more vehicles and 2 forensics vans were headed that way. Anybody know what happened?

All I know is a homeless person was shot. I don't know whether he survived or if any suspects were identified/apprehended.

Ah C'Sted. Just watched my taped edition of Wes Small on Channel 8. Well I was at the boardwalk for lunch and they had it cleared before the cruise ship passengers arrived. The board walk was hopping and the harbor was beautiful with lots of whitecaps. God bless that man and may he rest in peace.

On a high note, people seemed to be enjoying the restaurants and hotel on the cay had a good crowd on their beach. Lately all I have been seeing are tourists getting rained out of their excursions. I always feel bad for the family standing in the rain at mermaid beach waiting for their charter to Buck. Go get em' tourism vendors. You deserve a great prosperous season!

According to today's St Croix Source the victim was punched in the face. The assailant is in custody.
