Think I read somewhere that it was part of a fundraiser being held for Dominica relief by Fire Dept., etc.

No, no one who KNEW what it was posted anything. Everyone guessed, posted rumors and probably made up things, but nobody KNEW what was the cause for the activity.

Wasn't there a fire safety rally at the horse track? It happens every year, fire fighters speak to scroll kids about fire safety.. It's a good thing. maybe that's what you saw. I get it AandA, I contemplated a move to STT but decided STX will remain my home. No island is better it's just what you want personally. It's like the NY/Boston rivalry, we both bash each other but dammit nobody from the outside better bash either of us.

I was on my roof finsihing my solar rails, got to see them Slowly and loudly driving down centerline...

I thought it was something horrible at first, but they were going so slow I figured it had to be something non-time sensitive, didn't know it was a celebration though... strange.

I feel the same about STT as AandA2VI feels about STX.

I could never live happily in a place like St. Thomas.

+1million

cant imagine all of you are happy 100% of the time

Probably only 98% of the time, your right.

If conflicting opinions irritate you then the solution is to not contribute to forums!

AandA- I get it. In the states, people move all over and while some love one place others hate it. As a person who has considered both islands and is leaning toward STX before my visit there, can you tell me what you liked better about STT?
