what to bring to the island

I'm packing for my move to St Thomas. I assume my free time will be used well if I do some diving. I'm packing the mask fins snorkel, I have a john and a full wet suit. both about 3mm. Do I need just one or the other? BC is packed, no weights. I'm thinking about leaving the tank. Any thoughts on what I'm bringing or should bring?
What about a lap top computer? Good Idea? I hear the car seem expensive. What about bikes? Should I bring one or are they easy to get. Is it a good way to get around?
thanks for any input

Bring 'em both, as in the winter you will want the full...especially if you get a job diving. And I would leave the tank. No sense in lugging it around when they are so cheap to rent.

Laptop is a great idea. Bike, as in pedal? Not a good way to get around, too hilly. Motorcycle? Best way to get around, as it is accepted for us to drive down the middle of the road when there is traffic.

Hello Ed,

Lap top is good, carry it with you as your personal item when flying down.

If you enjoy bike riding visit http://endurancesportsvi.com/site/intro.cfm
to learn about bike riding in the VI, renting gear, bikes for sale.

Leaving the tank is a good idea. Bike, not a good idea, unless you're into tour de france hill climbs - well, not that steep!!!! LOL!

Laptop, for sure. BC and all related diving gear, yes, why just have to purchase it here. Full suit for some of the deeper wreck dives.
