Brought $2100.00 in cash down on May 1st. In about 2 weeks I will not have a lot of cash on hand, At the condo I am staying I can write a stateside check for the rent. But I am responsible for all utilities. Can I write a stateside check for bills in STX? Or do I need to open a checking account down here for expenses. I will be here for 6 months. And if ya'll think I need to go open an account at a bank, what one would you suggest... I am staying on Northshore Drive. thanks!

I don't know if WAPA will take a stateside check or not. Better go over and ask.

We use Banco Popular in Golden Rock and have been satisfied.
