When does Sandy Point close?

Anyone know when they close for turtle nesting season?

It closes in mid-may. The official leatherback nesting season begins April 1st, but some early-bird turtles arrive as early as February. So whenever you are there on the weekend until then don't stick anything into the sand like umbrella poles. Avoid digging as much as possible too. Hawksbill turtles and the occasional green turtle nest all year round on Sandy Point so you never know where there might be a nest.
No reported leatherbacks nests so far this year, but they could arrive anytime now!!
