I purchased my plane ticket today ($345 RT!!!) to come down for a week, arriving in STT on May 31st. The goal of my trip is to see as many areas of the island as possible, meet with as many possible employers as possible, and also enjoy myself too if possible. (Is it possible that I just used the word possible that many times??? haha)

What part of STT would you all recomend as being the best place to stay in order to have access to the things mentioned above and if you have a favorite hotel i'd love to hear about it. I was thinking East End, the cheaper the better, and close to the ferry system.

Thanks (again),

Kyle

Hi Kyle

I posted a message on here yesterday asking the same question.

The Islander mentioned that you could stay anywhere on the island and be centrally located! Apparently you can get anywhere on the island in 30-45 mins.

I've found it very helpful to read every single post on this site. There are a lot of people asking all the questions that are probably running through your head.

Where did you find a flight for that cheap? where are you flying from? and, last question I promise...when are you planning on actually moving?

Jessica

Hey Jessica...

Believe me i've read every post since January, and I did read your post, just after I posted mine....I just have the problem of talking too much!

Anyway, thanks for the info and USAir is having a Caribbean sale, as is American, and probably many others.

Im flying US Air out of Philadelphia nonstop to STT... http://usair.com/pro/specials/carib_sale.htm Be sure to search by price and not date.

I'm planning on moving this coming fall and from what I've read October seems to be the month to do it in.

Hello Kyle,

The best way to see as much as you can is to rent a car; is that an option for you? If not then you will want to stay in an area that has access to the public bus and $1 safari. By car you can get to pretty much all places in a relatively short amount of time, but without a car it is more difficult.

So are you with car or without?

I will be with for at least one or two days depending on how many people I can talk into coming with me (the more that come, the more ways the cost gets split, etc...).

Also, Islander, I saw one of your other posts that listed cheaper hotels on the island, so thanks again for that.
