Where's the best place to get fresh fish on STX?

Just past the Golden Rail St Croix Marina at Gallows Bay go up hill around the bend you will see a little park and a small dock on your left. Every day Fresh Fish & Lobster are available around 10:00 AM.

Or across from Plaza in Scion Farm. Always several people there selling fish and lobster. I bought a couple lobsters from a guy there...only $8/lb.

I've never had a lobster at home. If I were going to do so, would I just ask for two lobsters? How much do they weigh?

The fisherman usually have a scale and will be able to tell you how much they weigh. We bought at least 6 last year at different times and they were delicious.

I would suggest that you hook up with someone who has done this before. Or if your real good at following instructions go for it. Ask the Lobster men where to place the knife behind the head, let him/her point it out to you. Some take the head off, I don't, I stab/split and grill. Some don't kill they just drop it in a pot of boiling water, When the meat turns white, their ready. The weight is not an exact science when your buying direct, they are going to charge you going price of $8.00 per pound, that equates to one lobster most of the time. I bought six Lobsters two weeks ago for $50.00. Under no circumstance try to low ball the price, they get mad and won't deal with you.
