Does anyone know where to find a Hotspot here in STX? In the states and PR, they're pretty much everywhere you go. Thanks for any info!

There's one at Polly's at the Pier in Frederiksted.

Also the coffee shop in C'sted. IMHO, the food and drinks there are tastier and more reasonably priced. They also don't charge you $5 to plug your computer into the wall... *-)

Angry Nate's has wi-fi, but bring your credit card. It's not free.

You can downloadapps to your smart phone (like iPhone) which can detect and alert you to open wifi.

I can say that the Choice Wi Fi we have is really one of the fastest I have seen. It may not be, I don't know alot about that stuff, but it does have very fast download times.

Not sure, but the one I'm talking about is called Twin Cities, and it's next to Sonya's, almost at the end of Company Street (the end nearest the water, that is).

Lol! Thanks everyone!

Neil- I actually have an awsome app on my iPhone called "MiWi", it allows me to turn my phone into a hotspot. Problem is, I only get a bar or two at my house (with MiWi you'd get wifi service anywhere your phone gets service)... But a single bar isn't gonna cut it for my laptop.

Thanks again for being so informative. I've got a dozen or so places to choose from now:-)

I see users at tables inside the entrance to OfficeMax at Sunny Isle.

I assume it's a WiFi hotspot, but I don't know if it's free.

Yes, the tables/WiFi at OfficeMax are free. My boyfriend, who telecommutes, used that as a backup when the power went out when we first moved here. They'll let you sit there all day without a word, but the down side is that there's nowhere to plug in your computer, so you have to have a great battery!
