Working Remotely for Stateside Companies

Good Morning all,

Long-time reader, first-time poster. 🙂

I've seen various posts here in the past from IT/software engineer types who live in the VI and work remotely for stateside companies. So, I thought I would reach out to you for some advice.

My background is in software technical writing/training development (18 years) with a lot of experience telecommuting. I moved to STT 3 years ago and left my last company when they decided to no longer allow telecommuting. I've had zero success in finding another remote position. Most won't even talk to me once they find out where I live.

Does anyone know of any companies or recruiters I could contact who are telecommute friendly? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

VI NGN, is that what you mean? they are just a fiber infrastructure with a few grants attached (federal funding), not really a company and not many jobs.
