share with me some seeds, seedlings, or cuttings of their beloved island hardy vegetables when I eventually make it to STT? Also, just out of curiousity, are there any people with small poultry farms on the island? Thanks again! Don't worry islanders, I am not indulging in some fantasy about complete self-sufficient life or anything, I just like to excercise my green thumb and have also been thinking about maybe raising a few birds for meat. Thanks again, in advance

the local chickens are scrawny and don't look like the best eating. I don't know if you could get stateside type chickens to raise unless you were able to bring a couple laying hens to start your own stock. The chicken at the grocery stores is one of the more affordable meat options and it's good quality and tastes fine.

Check with danieljude on this website about cuttings. He has a garden nursery in his home east of C'sted and may have some of what you want or be able to steer you towards more through other sources.

Right now there is a surplus of feral chickens on St Thomas. I would be happy to direct you to them out here on the east end. If you take them to Fortuna, I'll even pay you! 😀
