Yoga Studio in downtown Christiansted?

Well, we're coming back for a week in July--our second visit in past two years. We'll be staying at the Buccaneer (really roughing it :-)!!). Last time we were in St. Croix, I noticed what appeared to be a yoga studio of some sort in downtown Christiansted, although it was closed at the time I was there. Could anyone tell me if it is still in operation, or what other alternatives exist to get in a session or two of yoga while we're there?

I realize this is not exactly what most would consider a PMV, but we still plan to look around while we're here. Why the Buccaneer? Tennis (our son is a top high school player), plus the unequaled service we received last time from everyone associated with the place. As the visit draws nearer, maybe I could figure out a way to meet some of you. It would be nice to put faces with postings.

Sincerely,

Steve

I'm sure others will have more info for you, but as your dates get closer, you might want to call TBH and aks them about the yoga. At times they have had someone giving yoga, usually in the morning and on the beach. There was a small charge, and it might have only been/most likely was for registered guests. If the front desk doesn't know, ask for the concierge.

Downtown Christiansted for yoga, try the Kalima Center at 54 King St. 719-4417. There is also VI Family Sports and Fitness at Beeston Hill, 778-5144. They have several yoga classes a week, plus other classes and a full gym.

I just got back from a STX visit. Yoga at the Kalima Center was awesome. Destry teaches a vinyasa class on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00. It is a little advanced with not a lot of instruction so I don't know what your level is.

I also took a class from Cindy Male. She teaches Wednesday night at 5:30 and Saturday at 8:30. She has her own studio on 75 west of Christiansted just past the entrance to Country Day School. It was a Kundalini class and not as advanced as Destry. Her number is 340-277-8651.
