Is it just me, or are others here having trouble launching www.foxnews.com? Other pages load just fine with my BBVI cheapie account, including this one. Do I smell a conspiracy theory in the works???

The problem seems to be name resolution. Once the name is resolved everything comes up pretty quick. Maybe the name isn't cached as long as others.

Have you noticed on Dish Network that CNN, MSNBC and CNBC are in HD. Fox News is only available in SD. And Fox is the most popular news network in the US.

It's not just Fox news. ESPN is also very slow loading for me.

Quite possibly the beginning of throttling profitable and popular websites now that net neutrality has been shot down. It has nothing to do with conspiracy theories and everything to do with $$$. Consider your favorite site(s) hostages until they pay up to get in the "fast lane."

Edited to add: I doubt it's BBVI's doing, though.

Who knows. The general answer is there are lots of games afoot with internet routing now that net neutrality has been shot down.

Yesterday, early the net was down completely, then slowly came back and by time the market opened BBVI was lighting fast on all web pages. This morning we are back to the SOS, Fox news, Fox Business and ESPN are very slow and others are fine. If I were an ISP I'd be all over this stuff with the news of today.

Wasn't BBVI promising faster speeds over 6 months ago? Still waiting.

Hope springs eternal. Possibly BBVI in the middle of 'tweaking' which is why they went down yesterday. But then, who will be the next powerball winner?
