Many of you have suggested to me that Congress should permanently cut its pay ~ and not just during Sequestration. It’s why I’m pleased to tell you that Congressman Dave Loebsack (D-IA) has introduced the Congressional Halt in Pay Increases and Cut Congressional Pay Act (HR398) ~ The CHIP IN Act!
Rep. Loebsack's bill would cut Congressional pay by 10% and repeal the current automatic pay increases. If passed, it would be the first Congressional pay cut since the Great Depression!
Tell Congress it’s time to CHIP In!
If the rest of us don’t do our jobs, we don’t get paid.
Why should Members of Congress receive automatic pay raises when they haven’t been doing their job of getting our economy back on track? It’s time for Congress to feel some of the pain that America’s Middle Class is facing every day!
