Do you know how hard it is to get ANYTHING done with a baby mongoose in your room?

playing with him is worse than crack (I assume?)

The morning after Tropical Storm Erika we were contacted by a family that had found a baby mongoose that had been washed into the street. This baby mongoose still had not opened its eyes, was emaciated and lethargic.

We bottle fed him kitten milk until his eyes opened and he wanted to start eating solid foods. Right now his favorite food is anything we are eating.

and if you do manage to ignore him, he'll come find you to play with... haha

I'm still learning the video editing software & when I'm more comfortable I'm going to do a little mini documentary on all the animals currently in our care.

its a great homeschool project (the research and writing involved, plus the production aspects of video creation etc..)

hopefully you'll see more of Bahn Tzu soon

Too cute. Glad you were able to rescue the little guy.
Hopefully, he won't develop an interest in electrical cords!
So how do you house break a Mongoose?
Does he have his own little bed?
Please continue to document his adventures as he grows!

well, they are in the "Meercat" family, and act similar to cats, easy to train to a litter box, though if its too far away for him any convenient corner will work, but he's so young right now it's hard to say if he will become completely "house broken" or not.

we built him a cage out of an old dresser. I'll include all of that in a video on him 🙂

he's making it very difficult to taype 4riryght now2.i

We ended up with a pig around the same time,, turns out Montpellier Domino Club had a Potbelly pig that wasn't working out so well (he was too short! haha) so we took him off their hands and promised to fatten Polly Piglet up so they can have another beer drinking pig in trade.

Here's Polly!
