You're on a slippery slope here...this is a taboo topic, along with the fact that the "defense" budget is to blame for the economic woes we are facing...

Heh, I know it is a slippery slope, I had some reservations about posting this here. Still, Israel can do fine on its own and does not need to be the people we give the most money to (besides our defense budget).

Correct me if I'm wrong (talk about a slippery slope) most of the problems revolve around Israel and our involvement.

Nope. We didn't start 2 wars in Iraq because of Israel; didn't start and continue with the longest war in US history in Aghhanistan because of Israel; we don't have a drone program in Yemen and Pakistan because of Israel. We have been supporting Israel's military since the 50's. Find something else to boo hoo about.

Why am I not shocked that no one talks about the billions other countries are receiving - only complaining about Israel. Been the same crap since the beginning of time.

If you’re wondering who else is a major U.S. aid recipient, here’s the rest of the top 10 from 2008: Russia ($1.3 billion), Sudan ($1.2 billion), Tanzania ($1.1 billion), Ethiopia ($1 billion), Pakistan ($963 million), Colombia ($888 million), Jordan ($833 million), and Mozambique ($799 million). The totals reflect both economic and military aid.

Where are the complaints about these countries - or is it just easier and does it just make everyone feel better about themselves to rip on Israel? Hmmmmm.

Funny. I thought at least part of the reason terrorists want to kill all of us is because we back Israel. That's what caused the Jihad and 9/11. I guess we went to Afganistan and Iraq was because we had a surplus of cruise missiles.

Wow is yours an ignorant statement. Jihad has been around alot longer than Israel has. Do some homework on the Taliban and Fundamentalist Islam - "my way or the highway." Jihadists believe that Americans and the American way of life and the other religions in America (incl. Judaism) are the problem. The hatred of Israel is collateral to the hatred of America and everything it stands for. The people who think 9/11 was a result of Israel and America's relationship tend to be among your scarier conspiracy theorists - all of whom should be summarily ignored, except for their 1st Amendment right to spew garbage.

FACTS;

Osama bin Laden claimed responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. Al-Qaeda and bin Laden cited U.S. support of Israel, the presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia, and sanctions against Iraq as motives for the attacks. US invaded Afghanistan to wipe out the Taliban which harbored AL-Qaeda.:-o

Huh? We have used drones in both Yemen and Pakistan.

And you really need to look at the per-capita amount of Aid there is - Israel, per capita, gets far more US aid than any other country.

Who gives a crap about per capita? Would be so refreshing to hear truthfulness from Israel bashers. Per capita issues??? - I'm sure that's what's bothering you.

What bothers me is that by supplying Israel with military aid we are pissing off the whole region. Israel does not need our help.

It is interesting that Israel, using US financed military equipment, sold highly sensitive arms to China:

Israel accused of selling US secrets to China

ISRAEL has sold at least dollars 2bn ( pounds 1.3bn) to dollars 3bn of hi-tech military equipment to China, seriously undermining US efforts to limit the sale of advanced weapons to the Chinese. A Senate report due out later this week says the Israeli exports include military technology developed by the US, and which Washington expressly forbids from being exported to China.

Officials accompanying Israel's Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, on a visit to China confirmed that Israel had done deals but would not elaborate. The CIA told the committee the Chinese were seeking from Israel technologies that Western firms were unwilling to provide.

Israel is only out for one thing: Israel.

God’s Jewish Warriors: Presented by CNN's Christiane Amanpour. Notice the US made M-16s:

(These clips are about ten minutes each)

Part two
Part three
Part four
Part five
Part six
Part seven
Part eight
Part nine
Part ten
Part eleven

Some interesting quotes from that series:

"I wouldn’t call it lying; it was more that we got the land in a roundabout way."
"for every Jew, a .22"
"The proper response is revenge"
"America gives Israel $3,000,000,000 a year, no questions asked."
"I was never fully American; I was Jewish."
"It is a controversial issue here in Israel as to whether we should be partnering with the Christians in any way."
"The Arabs have 22 of their own countries, if they want democratic rights let them go seek democracy in their own countries."

Funny, I thought democracy was for the people by the people, and not who you select to be the people.

Quite a few Jews do not agree with Israel's policies:

Israeli Soldier Speaks Out against Brutal Occupiers - 2 of 2

Zionist Jews hate Jesus and Christians:

Well if the US government has a say in it, he did - to the point that we executed him. This is a terrible mess that we have spent probably 30% of our debt (funding from China no less) and will continue.

Jamison,
You should read your citation. Which clearly states he denied at first, however he changed his mind later. Are you going to change history.(td)
