Yep did that. Not seeing any articles on women complaining about going into combat....could YOU please POST A LINK to an article where you saw this? My internet search skills are obviously not as sharp as your's are.

Arghhh, why I am even responding to you is beyond me. I've always been so good in the past about not feeding the trolls or the idiots. Oops, that was my PMS speaking. Please excuse me, I'm going back to the laundry room.

Tiberius,
Do you think we should take the vote away from women?:-o

This is a loaded question for me. On one hand, woman are less than a man and should be restricted from voting like children are. On the other hand, i tend to agree with women more than men...

noOne,
I really didn't expect an answer. I was only being sarcastic. Just for the record I believe that men and women are equal.

FYI. They're not complaining about going into combat. They're complaining about meeting the same physical requirements. If I can find it, you can.

P.S. Here's a perfect example. You think because you're a woman you can say or do whatever you feel like.
Speak to me like that to my face and I'll have no problem treating you just like a man. How's that for equal rights? Maybe you all should stay in the laundry room.

What do they want? For decades they've been fighting for equal rights. Equal pay for equal work. Everything equal. Equal, equal, equal. Even being eligible to enter the military. They raised hell because it was discriminatory to keep them out of the military. First it was too hard and they changed the requirements because they're women. Now they don't want to go into combat because they're women. What did they think they would be doing? Fluffing pillows, cooking meals and doing laundry? You wanted it, you got it. Make up you minds!:S

Your statement says "Now they don't want to go into combat because they're women". HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Tiberius says: "Maybe you all should stay in the laundry room."

Maybe he should climb back into his cave and stay there.

And how do you "treat a man"?

I'm betting it involves chocolates & flowers, maybe a hug.

I want to be treated like a person, with dignity and respect. No matter gender, color or disabilities. That's all I ask.

I'd be HAPPY to say that to your face. I've never said anything on this forum that I wouldn't say to anyone in person. For things like that, I keep my mouth shut on all fronts.

And as to my comment: "Arghhh, why I am even responding to you is beyond me. I've always been so good in the past about not feeding the trolls or the idiots. Oops, that was my PMS speaking. Please excuse me, I'm going back to the laundry room"

I didn't say that because I am a woman and think I can get away with it. I said it because I am an intelligent, rational human being who believes in equal rights calling out your bulls**t.

We should all be treated equally, not separate but equal like in the old days of segregation. Why should there be separate restrooms for men and women? There used to be separate restrooms for whites and coloreds. We got over that, why not have unisex restrooms everywhere, and all of them handicapped accessible. Is this just a throw-back to puritanical modesty?

This would make service on warships and in combat situations easier. Get rid of female quarters on ships. Just have persons quarters! Why aren't disabled peopled allowed to serve in the military? Isn't that discrimination?

Seems to me there is a lot of DISRESPECT for these brave, young women who willingly disrupt their lives to serve, are wounded and DIE in wars created by men to PROTECT our rights as Americans. You all should be ashamed of your disparaging, contemptible and discriminatory comments. Ya'll need to grow up or just grow a new pair 'cause these old ones just aren't doing it.
The chauvinistic attitudes are appalling!(td)(td)(td)

Thanks CityGuy.
At least there are a few enlightened males out there.:-)
Just remember you others: Those women could be your daughters, sisters, wives, friends, relatives and mothers who are putting their lives on the line for all of us. They deserve respect just like everyone else that serves. Give it a rest!

I think that most distinctions should be removed. No separate heads. The PT requirements should be based on the job requirements. Not everyone will end up in the infantry. If you are going to operate a drone then it wouldn't matter your sex or if you are handicapped. Call it limited duty or whatever but men and women can still serve regardless of their physical abilities. In the modern military many MOS's do not require great physical strength. For some jobs IQ is more important that physical strength.

In a military where you have both gay and straight men and women how does it make sense to segregate the sexes?

All Fire Fights are won by "SUPERIOR FIRE POWER" any and all "COMBAT VETERANS" know this. So all you" REMFS" I'll take a female soldier ready and willing to fight any day. Disabled people, missing limbs still serve in the military. There are always the what if's but that comes from the majority of people who have not served in combat. I don't want to watch anyone defecate male or female takes a sick mind to think of that.:-o

My pipe-dream for today is that mankind would get rid of WAR, and there would be no need for a military...or the need for anyone, male or female, to "serve in combat".

Why the heck do we insist on remaining "in combat" with each other?
