3-year-old miniature schnauzer

After a lot of soul searching and numerous family discussions, we feel that we must get rid of our salt and pepper female. I'm considering calling Gretchen and recommending (and paying) for her to be in Pets From Paradise, but I'd really rather her go to a someone nice here on STX. She has your typical schnauzer mentality; ie: little dog syndrome and fiercely protective, but doesn't always do well with other animals or small children. She'll need a fenced yard, and is even used to an invisible fence.

If anyone is interested or has a viable suggestion, please PM me, as we are at the end of our rope!

Maybe you could consult Eric the dog trainer if the problem is behavior. He advertises in the Avis frequently but not in yesterdays paper.
Maybe someone here has his number. He used to own Ye Feed shop and had kennels and offered training. He's since sold the shop but continues to do training in your home.

We've already tried training with a dog expert. Unfortunately, it's beyond what we're willing to deal with at this point. But thanks!

OK, apparently at least one person on this board seems to think that I'm trying to get rid of "an inconvenient dog". That is not the case at all. We love Elke, but can't deal with her increasingly anti-social schnauzer behavior, especially when we now live in such close proximity to neighbors ad have friends drop by quite often. We're trying to find her a loving home in which she'll be happier, too.

I hope that clears thing up.
