I mentor a young man who just started at the St Croix Educational Complex in the auto class.
He started late due to the bureaucracy, but we were able to get him started with the agreement we pick him up every day after the auto classes in the AM, and bring him to AZ Academy where he is attending high school.
Went to Kmart, Uniform Shop near police station, consignments shops, etc.....NO LUCK in finding coveralls, which he needs for the shop portion just started today.
I was told a small store at HOVENSA sells them---anyone know if this is true, if yes, anyone have access to purchase one for me---as I can meet you with needed cash.
Trying to order one and have it expedited---but we know how mail works.

They often have them at the Humane Society Thrift store, mostly old Hovensa ones.
I think they're open today from 10am til 2pm.

Thanks picaflores, I already went and no luck.
Did order set off Wlalmart, but not due in for 5-10 days---so still looking for at least one for him for Tuesday.

I used to see them at cost-u-less, used ones that were "refurbished" and repackaged. They were in the section with automotive stuff and bags of rags, etc.

Today I met InnAtPelicanHeights, as I was the go between to get the coveralls to them. Let me just say...Inn & their spouse are wonderful people doing a wonderful thing for a young man. If we had more people like them, who would give a little time & commitment to mentoring, I really believe we would see a drop in the crime rate. Maybe not immediately, but it would make a difference.
