I know a pretty decent gardener with a Master Gardener's certificate from U of CT that is new to the island.

A PM prompted this additional information.
She does existing landscape and garden maintenance, weeding, transplanting, trimming, soil amending, planting, watering, fertilizing, and integrated pest management. While not a designer, can suggest the proper plants for location based sun, soil, etc. Completely equipped with her own tools.
