I am looking for a 1-2br apt. for my boyfriend and I. We are moving to STX Oct. 1 and hope to secure something ahead of time. If not, we will be staying with friends until one comes along. We don't have too many "must haves" except that it be located in a safe area. Not looking for anything located in the city, we are looking for something tucked away or something out of the hustle and bustle.
Let me know if anyone has anything available, our budget is about $1200/month. but would prefer somethinng cheaper.

"Hustle and Bustle"? On STX? The only hustle and bustle I've ever seen on STX is at 5 corners during morning rush hour!
Have you visited STX? If not you really should. Renting an apartment from off-island is not a good idea and usually not possible. Most landlords want to see you before finalizing any rental and you should REALLY see the apartment before renting.

We have been to STX before and my boyfriend was a St John resident... I have actually found some great apts from this message board before. Thanks to those that responded. We will be there Oct 1st and are staying with some friends until we find something more permanent. Just trying to see what is out there from you all, and trying to make some contacts before getting there...
