i see that most people want first/last month rent and 'deposit'... how much is a typical deposit? $150 $200 $500?

But it's the norm...my first place here, back in Jan of '98, was $1,200/month...cost $3,600 to move in!!

The reason is....WAPA final bill and Water comes out of that (water if you're in a condo that charges) WAPA is .41per Kilowatt (very hefty)

Most times it actualy takes the first month, the last month and one month's security deposit. If you have a pet you may be looking at a larger deposit. This is pretty much standard. Whay so high? WAPA bills, water, and people the skip out in the night and don't pay their rent.!!!

If you don't leave the lease early then it just means that you need to have more up front money.
