Hey everyone! I am currently looking into jobs in St. Croix for our move to the islands which will probably be right after hurricane season. I am a statistician/mathematician/programmer and realize my job market is smaller in St. Croix. However, I believe Hovensa would be a perfect match and have noticed that they have had no jobs openings for quite a while. I have not heard back from the HR department and it has been about 2 months since my first attempt to contact them.
Does anyone know a contact at Hovensa that I could get in touch with about potential jobs. Thanks for any info!

I hope someone gives you a contact. 🙂 Just to give you a heads up as to why you may not have heard from anyone at Hovensa, they just had to lay off some employees as well as all the subcontractors. So times are pretty lean, but sooner or later there are openings.

I had a feeling that St. Croix was seeing the same cutbacks as we are seeing in the states. I simply want to find a job that uses some of my education so I don't feel like I wasted the last 6 years 🙂 But then again, I would make sacrifices to live the non-conventional American life and not keep up with the neighbors 🙂
