I am looking to move to STX in april 2015. I am doing alot of research but one thing I can't seem to locate is anybody looking for someone to reside on their boat and be the caretaker of it in exchange for rent. Is this a common thing or rare? Does anyone know of a site to look into?
Thx

No one is going to let a stranger live on their boat for free.
You may find someone to let you rent their boat.
You may want to inquire at a marina or the STX Yacht Club.

It seems from time to time that there are live aboard type sailboats for sale on the cheap. Not sure how seaworthy they are and most seem to spend their lives on a mooring. That could be a possibility if you have some cash to plunk down and are handy in order to refurbish the boat for sailing.

Hurricane season begins in June and goes thru the end of Nov.
Something to consider.
