Those of you who might be looking for a canine companion. There is a female puppy at the Clifton Hill Animal Shelter in STX. Her name is professor. She was rescued on the Central High School campus on 5/22. She is a very cute german shephard mix with ears that point straight up when she gets excited. I was so glad to see her when I stopped by on yesterday and to learn that she was still with us. She was resuced on 5/22. She is spunky and cute. The staff at the animal shelter asked if I would put the word out. So I thought what better group to put the work out to. They call her Professor because she was rescued by a fellow teacher/professor who noticed that she was being abused. I am pushing for Professor but there are lots of other puppys, dogs, and cats looking for homes as well. Check them out!

Good luck Melody.
Professor sounds like she might have a lot to "teach' someone about care for our fellow earth creatures.
