STill planning on moving to the island in early Sept. Looking for a long term rental house to rent 2-3 bedrooms. Have 2 beautiful, trained dogs - lab and golden. We are both professionals with great recommendations local in St. Croix.

If your planning on coming in Sept you will have an EXTREMELY hard time finding a condo now unless you plan to start paying for it now. What is available now will not be later especially for someone with dogs. Apt that allow dogs usually get snapped up very quickly. The rental market is very strong here in other words it is a landlords market. 😉 If you are trying to find out around what it will cost you, etc let us know. But you will not find anyone who is going to hold an apt for you. And anyone who has one now will not have have one then (unless of coarse their tenant just happens to move out then). For a 2 to 3 bedroom house with yard and GOOD neighborhood your looking at least $1500 most likely more like $2000.

Contact Dr.D through this board - go to the top and do a search, his email is private....but you can send him a private message - maybe, just maybe, he will have something coming open about then. Also do a search for Chantelle - she is pet friendly, leave your name with her (although I believe her place is rented at this time, but you never know how things could change between now and then.

I know of a couple of condos at Carambola that might be available for rent in the fall. It is one of the few complexes that allows large dogs. They typically rent in the $2500-$3200 per month range. You are definitely too soon to have any luck finding a house to rent next fall.
