Job for an electrician and looking to buy a car

Hi, I'm moving down to St. Croix--arriving tomorrow actually--and fortunately, I have a job lined up but my husband will be looking for a job. He is an electrician, and can also fix computers, and do almost any kind of construction work. Does anybody have any advice about how to go about looking for work? Also, he is a Spanish speaker, so needs to work with some people who can communicate in Spanish.

Thanks!

On a different note, we are also looking to buy a car, hopefully for not more than $2000. Any leads on a car in this range would be most welcome.

I have an island car for sale. A 1991 Plymouth Acclaim, 4 door, automatic, good tires, no dents, for $850. It has a slow radiator leak, the passenger door window does not go up and down, but otherwise it is a good dependable car.
