The Buccaneer Hotel is currently seeking strong candidates for the position of Restaurant Supervisor.

Job Title:

RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR

Scope and General Purpose:

The job of the Restaurant Supervisor is to ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while upholding reputable and ethical standards. In addition to this, the Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for supervising all restaurant and bar operations. A Restaurant Supervisor performs various duties, which assists in the overall presentation of The Buccaneer Hotel, assists staff in a smooth and efficient manner, and adheres to all protocols in line with the hotel’s strategy, and values.

Main Duties:

• To ensure maximum security in all areas under your control.
• To ensure that table appointments, including flower arrangements, are impeccable and that tables are set correctly.
• To ensure that stations have their correct mise-en-place.
• To ensure that faults and defects are reported to the Restaurant Manager.
• To maintain high standards of morale and personal appearance of all staff.
• To report all staff grievances to the Restaurant Manager.
• To be aware of all statutory regulations affecting safety.
• To ensure that all stocks and supplies are stored under optimum conditions and correct stock levels maintained.
• To ensure that operating equipment is used properly and not abused, e.g. serviettes and waiters' cloths used for cleaning.
• To give feedback on guest letters and comments.,
• To maintain a high degree of interest in self-development, displaying this by making suggestions for realistic improvements.
• Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards.
• Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
• Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
• Motivating staff.
• Organizing and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff.
