Greetings! My lovely friends and myself are very interested in moving to the islands and are looking for some relocation info to get us started. We're trying to get a feel for our options and possibilities of getting jobs and housing there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a bunch!

The message board has a lot of information on living expenses. It depends on where you want to live. I really believe that you should do a visit before you come down to settle. Island live is not for everyone. And it is pretty expensive. Housing will go about 900-1500. Utilities are about 3 times US mainland rates. Food is about 30-50% more expensive. On the good side you don't need heat or AC. And cloting is not a big thing. And of course getting work is a very important part of living down here. Getting a place to live and setting up a job on a pre visit is the way to go. Just don't try to do it over the air.
And by the way if you have pets that will make getting a place even harder.
