I am planing on moving to STX in the beginning of April and am in the beginning of my job hunt. I have done extensive research on the island and neighboring islands but not actually being there i have no sense of the housing market. I am curios if i will be able to find employment in my line of work. I have all the names of the major banks on the island and will be submitting my resume in the next couple days. Any insight to the housing market and what i can expect?

I connect most buyers I work with to a mortgage broker in Florida, as her service is reliable and transactions actually close on-time, which they almost never do with on-island bank mortgages. If there were better, faster, more responsive service on-island, that would be nice!
