Moving to St. John

Greetings all,

My name is Sharon and my boyfriend and I are currently in the process of trying to move to St. John! We are searching for an apartment and are looking to move into it in the beginning of September, right before the on season starts! We are very serious about this and have found difficulty in finding an apartment, craigslist is NOT the place to search (scams).

If there is anyone out there looking for reliable tenants, we're the people! Please get back to me with information on aparments up for rent, we're ideally looking for a year rental and are willing to live with a roomate if that's what needs to be done to get an apartment.

Looking forward to hearing back from some people!

🙂
Sharon

Finding housing from off island is going to be rather difficult...many landlords will only agree to rent to you if you are on island...many, many people dream of moving here and the landlords have all been burned before, with people saying they are coming, then they never show and the landlord loses out on rent...best to get yourselves down here, get a cheap B&B for a coupla weeks and find housing when you are here...

I agree. Never rent anything sight unseen for your own protection too. Get yourself into a B&B for a week and then go and see things in person. Once you're on island you can check out the notice board at Connections where there are several places always posted, plus ask around as much doesn't get openly advertised. Good luck!

If you are interested in having a roommate, PM me. I posted a couple days ago about a bedroom in my house in Cruz Bay, you can email me at IslandStyle00831@gmail.com
