Moving to St. John

Hello everyone!

I just got back from spending another wonderful week in St. John and have decided that it is time I finally follow my dreams and move. So the dog and I are packing our bags :o) I may have found an apartment that will be ready around mid Dec beginning of Jan, is that a good time to move? I realize season has begun, in that case should I wait until closer to March to move? I am still waiting to hear some more info on the place that may be available. I also will be looking for a job. I currently work in finance; I have my BS in Business administration and have prior experience as a waitress and working in a coffee shop. About a year ago I went to school and became a certified bartender, yet I have not had a chance to work behind the bar. Anyone know of anything?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I have been visiting the island since I was 9 years old and have always felt like it was a second home. I can’t wait for Molly (my dog) to play on the beach and splash in the water!

Thank you,
Laura

Hi Laura,

I applaud your decision to make the move. I am heading down to St. John in January to work on the Sun Times.
i am looking for a living situation...share a place, rent a room...I am traveling pretty light. I live a pretty quiet ( boring) life-early to bed and early to rise, and i am into keeping the place clean.
Let me know if you are at all interested in rooming with someone.

thanks
Larry
*I am a dog lover too :¬)

Remember dogs are not allowed on any National Park Beaches - Maho, Trunk, Cinnamon, Francis, Waterlemon etc and must be on a leash on all the NP Trails. They are allowed on non NP beaches (ie: Haulover)

Just didn't want you to get here and be shocked 🙂

It is hard I know as I have 2 dogs (I live on STJ) and finding beaches can be a long drive - but it is fun 🙂
