My friend and I are going to be moving down there in dec. and are looking for a place to rent. We are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom place that is furnished and reasonably priced. We will also be looking for jobs too. We both have experience in food service (waitresses). I also have management experience the food service too. If anyone knows of a place that will be available please let me know. Any advice would also be good about living there.

any feed back would be appreciated!!!

My e-mail is [email protected]

Are you familiar with St. Thomas, and do you know where you want to live? Red Hook is a great area for young people (I'm assuming you are young?) working in the food service field. Lots of restaurants and bars in a two block area. Also, if you find a place to rent in the Red Hook area, you can probably get by without a car, at least for a while. The down side is that Red Hook rentals are expensive. Are you just moving down for the season, or are you planning on making it long term?

I have rentals in Red Hook, but I only have (1) one bedroom and 2 studios. I doubt I will have anything available in Dec. You do know that is peak season, don't you? Rentals will be a little hard to find then, but jobs will be easy. Can you come earlier? I try to keep my availability posted on my website, http://www.virginislandsrentals.com. Please check it around late Oct., if you haven't found something by then.

There are other nice areas to live and work, of course, but Red Hook is just so convenient. Hope this helps a little.

I just went there on Vacation at the end of July for 2 weeks. At the time I wasn't thinking about moving but since I have been back, I have decided for a change. We stayed on the east side. At Sapphire beach. It was very beautiful. I was hoping to find something for rent on that side of the island. I want to try and get a job duffy's or one of those bars around there. I have noticed that it is more expensive to live on that side, but it would be ideal. No, I can't come earlier we are both in college and wanted to get in one last term before we leave. I will be checking to see if you have anything available in late oct.

thank you
