Hi everyone, I'm a recent college grad and against my parents will, I'm moving to St. John. I'm looking for a two bedroom place for a reasonable price starting Sept. 19. If anyone knows of anything send a message my way. Hope to see you all in paradise.

Alden: Good luck! The words "reasonable" and "St John" are rarely found in one sentence. Well, unless that sentence is: "One is hard-pressed to find reasonable housing on St John." 😀

What do you mean by reasonable? IF you can find a 2 bedroom on STJ the rent will probably be in the $,1500 - $2,000+ per month range. You can call Scenic Properties 340-693-7777 as they are in the rental property business and they will be able to tell you what is available right now. Next to that your best bet is to check at Connections when you are here and do alot of "talking" to people. Many people (your age) find themselves sharing with many others in a home to be able to make ends meet as STJ is an expensive place to live, but having said that you are moving in the absolute slowest month of the year (many restaurants are closed) so there is alot of housing available as alot of "kids" move of island and return to find employment at the start of season. BTW - what job are you going to be doing and do you have some money to live on while you get yourself started, do you have friends here, have you every been here before - lots of things to consider - living here is alot different than living Stateside. Good luck to you.

I know of a place on St. John, in Cruz Bay, that is available right now. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath, fully furnished, cable and utilities included for $1650. One person is living there right now...one of the coolest and most laid back guys you will ever meet...but is looking for roomates. I was living there but had to move to St. Thomas for work. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Hey, I would be really interested in that place in Cruz Bay if your friend is still looking...I'm a 23-yr-old girl moving down on August 14th. I have a place to stay temporarily but am definitely looking for a permanent place as soon as possible. I lived near Coral Bay this summer and will be working at Woody's when I get back. I'm really easy to live with, so let me know if he still needs a roommate.

EE,

I think you're right about the alter ego as I thought exactly the same thing when I read the post a couple of hours ago and figured anyone who refers to themselves that way must know what they're talking about 😛 !
