I am on island looking for a 1-2 br under $1000. Looking for North Shore or East End, nice safe area. My boyfriend and I just moved here and have jobs but not a home yet. Also need a cheap jeep or small SUV. Let me know if anyone knows of anything. THanks

East end or North Shore for $1000/mo???? You might want to consider other areas of the island. There isn't much on the North Shore for sure in the price range unless you just "happen upon it". Read the daily newspaper "The Avis" and call immediately on any rentals listed. The good ones (especially on the North Shore) go FAST. You might also want to try one of the real estate companies. Some of them have rental agents with constantly changing inventory. Good luck.
