After a 7 year stint back on the mainland, I am moving back to STT (in 3 days...can't wait). Does anyone out there have a strong running car (looks mean nothing) in the $1,500 range? My standards are very low, except whatever it is, I'll need it anywhere from Dec. 14th - 16th. Rental cars can get very expensive. Also, looking for a 3 bedroom house, again, no parameters except price...somewhere around 1500-1800 per month. I've already looked through the latest Island Trader online, and it helped, but you know what they say...Its all in who you know!!! Thanks so very much, see you in 3 days. Scott.

Hello! I saw the previous posting about the 1990 sidekick rental. We would take you up on the vehicle offer. My husband and I will be living on the island from Jan. 3rd- April 6th as traveling nurses. We will be living at Saffiare Village and would like a vehicle to venture around on our own. Let us know if you know anyone or yourself that have a vehicle to rent during our stay.

You might try Bowsky Auto Sales and Rentals, 340-779-2600 which is located in Smith Bay not too far from Sapphire. Although I can't claim first-hand experience of their operation, I have many friends and acquaintances who have used them over the years particularly when their vehicles are in the shop for repairs and they need a relatively inexpensive rental to tide them over.

Obviously you're coming during "high season" when rental vehicles tend to be quite expensive but hopefully this might help. Good luck and cheers!
