Why is it so difficult to find a place that will accept a cat??? 🙁

I am moving to St. Thomas on March 23rd and I am trying to find a long term rental on, or very near to the beach, on any part of the island. Does anyone know of a decent place for under $1600/mo that would accept a fat but good natured cat?

Unfortunately, irresponsible pet owners have ruined it for the rest of us 🙁
Good luck with your search. Also try http://caribbean.craigslist.org/

It's true, the experiences the landlords have had in the past determines what their criteria may be for furutre tenants...for example, my place would be perfect for a pet, big yard, at the end of a dead-end road...but previous tenants had a dog and when they moved out, it cost my landlord over five grand to fix the place back up due to the dog being allowed to use the entire apartment as his toilet and he chewed up all of the wood trim from the floor, up about 2 feet...so I can't even have my dog, that my ex-wife has custody of, and I have visitation rights to, but I can't have him over becuz the landlord is so leary of pets now...a real shame...

If you find anything in Mahogany Run, they accept cats. We are not on the beach, but we have really nice views! Not sure what the 1 bedrooms go for, but you might be able to find one for around 1800...

I have no problem with cats except that all the strays stir up the 15 dogs that each person on STX keeps in their yards and that causes massive explosions of barking at night.

Hello!

Am a bit late on this so possibly you already are set up. I LOVE cats and have an adorable one bedroom, one bath apartment for rent on St. John. Month to month. Possibly long term.

Please get in touch mail4katha@yahoo.com if you are still looking.

Thanks Katha
