Relocating in October...

Hi! My friend and I are looking to move to STT from the beginning of October to mid-February. We are two females in our mid-20s and are willing to share a room to save rent. My question is whether or not we would be able to rent a room and/or an apartment for 4 1/2 months? Also, would it be easy to find a house that is just renting a room? We are two friendly, easy-going girls that just can't stand another winter in Oregon!!!

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

Finding a landlord willing to do 41/2 months is iffy... not impossible but you aren't going to be the landlords first choice if they have others looking that are willing to do a 6 month or 1 year term.

A room-mate situation in a house with multiple bedrooms will likely fit what you are looking for in terms of renting a room.

Hi,

I own a condo with a lease expiring in October. How much can you afford for rent? The condo is for sale so if it has not sold by then, I would be willing to do a short lease. Let me know. Email me directly at [email protected].

my friend and I are also moving to st. thomas, but we're coming in december. my friend's family owns a 3 unit condo and they might be willing to do a 41/2 month rent with you. My friend and I will be 21 so it would be cool to have roommates our age! go to this link... http://hideaway-villa.com/ it's an awesome location. The condos are actually on a closed resort which should be opening up again but we don't know when. it has a private beach that is basically 20 steps away from the condo, then up a side road there is Coki beach which is our favorite! there is also a pool you can use. Although the resort is not open, there is staff that takes care of the grounds so it's not like it's run down or anything. Definitely a great place to live.. we're afraid we won't ever come home! good luck and maybe we will see you in december!
