Hi, my boyfriend and I are moving to St. Croix around Feb. 11, and we're looking for a studio or one bedroom apartment, as well as transportation: willing to consider scooter or used car. Hopefully, apt/condo located not far from the Kingshill area, where I will be working. Also, if anybody knows the cost of transporting a car from Miami, FL to St. Croix, that info would be helpful; I'm pretty certain it's too expensive given the value of the car we have now, but just wanted to check on that.

Welcome to the area, soon. The cost of shipping a car from FL is about $1500 and yuo will need to pay a VI road tax based on the type of vehicle, we paid about $400 and if it is foreign made you may also have to pay import taxes. Ours cost $600 for a 2004 Mini Cooper. So all total about $2500 in our instance.
My landlord has a small studio apartment in the same house that I live in. He does not advertise it, but he may want to rent it. His name is Rodger Hodge and he can be reached at 407.766.7263. It would be worth a call. It is located in Lagrande Princess which is about 3 miles from Kingshill. I expect you could rent it for about $700/mo. Happy hunting.

One bedroom furnished condo very close to JFL hospital, very nice, clean, quiet area, pool, separate laundry room . not far from Kingshill. $1000./mo
