Hi!
I wil be relocating to st. croix January 15th of next year coming from Daytona Beach, and I know this is a little far in advance but I like to be well prepared. I was wondering if anyone knows of any low priced rooms for rent for when I first get there while I am looking for other apartments to live. preferebly if you can rent them out by the week. Nothing special, just a place to lay my head until I find a place. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone could give me an idea of how much a cheap basic car that runs and will get me around is on the island, I know prices are a little different than here stateside. Will $500 to $1000 get you a decent moving vehicle? thank you again.

-Chris

a few places with cheap weekly rates are The Waves at Cane Bay and Bogey's on the north shore or the Comanche Hotel in C'sted. The Comanche would give you good motivation to find a permanent place in a hurry. lol

For a car, $2K-$3K is probably more likely to get you something that will reliably run for a while. You can find things cheaper, but you'll put more into them in repairs and be stuck with a dead car more often.
