Hi, I'm in search of a reasonably priced apartment for my boyfriend and myself. I was referred to this website by a classmate and friend. Please let me know if there are any between the price range of $500 and $650. We are students at UVI and funds are low. I hope that we can find a comfortable place for the two of us, with your help.

Regardless of whether you are on STT or STX, you should be able to find something in that range. STT less so that STX, but it's possible. Would I, myself, want to live in a place for $500 here on STT? No. Being so cheap severely limits you option, as you might find that those in that price range are either A.) in a bad location, or B.) are not habitable (by my standards, and maybe yours, too). You might want to look at the possibility of sharing a place. If you could find a nice 2 bedroom for $1300, then you still fall into your price range, but now you live in a place that's in a A.) nice location, and B.) is rather nice. Check the Island Trader here on STT. For STX? Anyone?

There's also the option of sharing a place by finding roommates. There are a few of us on here who have been searching, and though I would prefer to have my own place it may not be practical for the short term. I arrive on STT tomorrow about 4:00pm. Feel free to send me a private msg. and I'll contact you when I can.

If you keep an eye out on here, there's invariably someone who can help, especially since you're already on the islands.

I did think that the minimum of $500 would probably be too low to find anywhere in St. thomas. We'll probably find something around to $650 that is still a decent place. I guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow to look in the Island trader. If you have heard anything about a place, please let me know.
