Hello -
I am coming down to St. Thomas for work for 6 months through the federal government and really excited! I was wondering if anyone had a lead on a good place to arrange a 6-month car rental between May 31 and Dec 3?

I tried contacting all 4 of those, but they offered their standard daily rate x 30, so the rentals were something like $1000-2500/mo. I figured there has to be some other rental agency that would be looking to rent their car more long term during the off season.

Did you find out yet exactly where you'll be working? You may find it possible to live relatively close to your place of work if its on a VITRAN bus line or safari bus route and utilize that transportation along with taxis when necessary, renting a car here and there for a few days when you want to get out and about. Just a thought. Have you spoken to your employer about it?
