I'm sure there are some people who may be moving off of the island and are trying to get rid of a vehicle. I don't need anything fancy but it has to be reliable and up to date with registration if permitted. Nothing more than $5000. Thanks for your help!

Just be careful on craigslist for $5k. I just got scammed out of $3,000.

How did that happen? People who get scammed usually don't do their due diligence. I've bought two cars via craigslist and also sold two with no problem - along with many other unrelated items. The scams are there, for sure, but you first have to learn how to spot them and never, ever, hand over money or sign a contact for anything until you've properly checked out the item for sale or the place for rent.
